A letter to my baby

Dear Yesha,

Mommy’s life is not always a bed of roses.

Mommy also has to deal and accept the thorns that come with it.

And because of this, I cannot promise you a life free from difficulties, trials, and blows.

Though I want to shed you from all of that, I know  I would stop you from your growth.

So while you’re in my arms, all I can do is love you, accept you and be there for you.

I promise to nurture you until you’re strong enough to face the world on your own.

I pray that you will be deeply rooted in your faith and values that we will instill in you.

I pray that when the day comes that you’re ready to set your wings, God will see you through.

I promise that I will still be here, to mend you when you’re wounded, to strengthen you when you’re weakened and to encourage you when you’re disheartened.

These are what I can promise you.

Loving and believing in you always,

Mommy

  1. Why, aren’t we mommies a sucker for writing our children letters even before they know how to read 🙂 I have a similar letter for my daughter! 🙂

It’s nice to sit down and take the time to say what you want to say to the little one in writing. Fifteen years from now, they probably wouldn’t want to listen to anything we have to say. Lol.

    1. LOL! Maybe we just love writing letters…
I hope my daughter and I could also be friends =)
