Renow D Skin Whitening Cream Review

I’ll never forget the time when my guy college friend, who was also my officemate, remarked on my face.

J: Anong meron sa mukha mo, ang kinis. Para kang nagparetoke.
Me: Huh? Wala. Cream lang naman ang gamit ko sa mukha.
J: Anong gamit mo?
Me: (Hesitant to share) Uh, Renow D.
J: Hahahaha! Cheapipay ka naman!

I’m not the least insulted with his banter. In fact, I still find myself smiling whenever I remember that instance. Seven years later, this is still the cream that I use – cheapipay or not.

In college, I used to use Pond’s until I was working. But then there was a time that Pond’s had ceased producing the pearl cream. I restlessly scoured all the malls that I could get into in search of it. But I didn’t find it, so I went back to using Renow D. I was already using Renow D early in college when I switched to Pond’s, and then back to Renow D again (by the way I bought this at South Star Drug).

I don’t know if it has a negative effect on my skin the fact that it’s cheap. It only costs below 100php and lasts me about a month or more. Though I’m 29, turning 30 this year, a lot of my younger classmates in graduate school in Ateneo mistook me as below 25 years old.

They would give me the shock face when they learned about my age or even when they discovered that I have a child. And mind you, I’m not petite.

So I don’t know if it’s on my genes. But I guess my facial cream also has helped. My mom, who is a beauty conscious junkie, would never fail to remind to not forget to apply Renow D, as what she said hiyang ako dito.

Yeah, it’s really cheap. And my friend is right, cheapipay talaga ko. But then I also tried the expensive ones like Mary Kay products and the one offered by Usana. Their marketing sounds promising so I would anticipate kung may igaganda pa ba ko, pero wala eh. I would still go back to my holy grail. Siguro hanggang dito na lang talaga ko, LOL!

I have no plan of hunting for a new facial cream to use for now. It’s kind of risky rin since I don’t know how my skin will react to a new product. For now, I’m happy and satisfied with my long-time facial cream. 🙂

So there, that’s my short and sweet renow d cream review 🙂 You may also like to read my review on Dalacin C and Eskinol combo.
